With decades of experience in working with children and families, I've developed a deep passion for sharing practical knowledge and insights on working with children who have special educational needs. I am well acquainted with the vast array of challenges that families face throughout their educational paths. My expertise covers both mainstream and specialized settings, having worked in classrooms and provided support through outreach. In the early years sector, I spent many years as a Portage home visitor, aiding families with young children who have various medical and special educational needs. I have guided staff in adapting to the changing needs of children. Training is my passion, as I consider it as vital to building a truly inclusive society.
Having two younger brothers with neurodiverse needs has afforded me first hand insight into the numerous milestones and hurdles that families encounter. This personal connection enriches my training, offering a well-rounded understanding of the needs of both the family unit and educational settings.
